According to Austrian media, the former goalkeeper of Arsenal, Juventus and Liverpool, among others, was hit by a train on Thursday morning while he was in a car.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The accident occurred near the Austrian village of Nussdorf am Haunsberg, not far from Salzburg. According to Austrian media, Manninger was driving a car that was hit by a train at an unguarded level crossing.\n<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services, who quickly intervened, were unable to resuscitate him. The world of football has lost an exceptional person. \u00bb\n<\/p>\n<p>After playing in several Austrian clubs, he joined Arsenal in 1997. At the Gunners, where he was mainly a substitute, he played a total of 64 official matches and contributed to four titles: a championship, an FA Cup and two Community Shields.\n<\/p>\n<p>He then played in several Italian clubs, including Juventus, with whom he was crowned Italian champion in 2012.
