This alley-oop between Stephon Castle and the (future) best player in the world at the start of the third quarter, while the Spurs were well behind. Trailing 58-41 at the break, the Spurs offered a superb second part of the match (73-35) in order to come back at the end of the third quarter, then take off.

The former Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans player notably scored three dunks to start the fourth quarter, each time served by his ally Stephon Castle (16 points, 8 assists), elected rookie of the year a year ago.

The evening’s statement

After missing Game 3 due to a concussion, Victor Wembanyama was not kind to the protocol established by the NBA, which requires the player to rest for 48 hours, before a gradual return to physical activity and daily neurological tests. To return to the field, he must receive the medical green light from his team and the approval of the director of the NBA’s concussion program.

“All the doctors, especially those at Spurs, have been great. But the management of the situation was very disappointing (…) by the NBA. I was never really afraid. I think everything has always been under control, he explained in a press conference about his injury. A concussion like this, without going into details, was quite bizarre. But I was taken good care of. I tried to get back on the pitch quickly. »

Update on the series

Winner of Portland, San Antonio managed to make the break in the series and now leads 3-1.
