A woman who proposed to her boyfriend as a joke was not prepared for his reaction.
Tessa Boyman (@tezzalife) Posted the moment she got down on one knee in jest on TikTok, only for her boyfriend, Magnus, to respond with an enthusiastic “Yes!”
What happens next leaves Boyman in shock. As the couple hug each other, Magnus reaches behind her back and pulls out a ring box—something he’d clearly been hiding the whole time.

He then drops to one knee himself and proposes for real. The camera catches Tessa in a moment of total shock, her mouth agape, processing what had just happened.
She shared the video with the caption: “A lifetime of love!! #engaged.”
According to another video on her TikTok profile, the couple stopped seven times on their road trip up north so Magnus could find the perfect place to propose.
Boyman wrote that location number seven was “the spot,” also giving viewers a glimpse of her brand new diamond ring. “Are you happy?” Magnus asked to his new fiancée.
Their dog, Niylah, also got to be part of the engagement who stood beside them on her leash the whole time.
In a series on TikTok titled “engaged,” Boyman talked viewers through her proposal outfit —something she didn’t see herself getting engaged in.
Donning a brown jacket and belt from her dad, a ring from her grandparents, the first necklace Magnus gifted her for their six-month anniversary and sneakers which both her mom and sister have, Boyman told viewers, “I never wear all this jewelry together, so I just thought it was kind of fun that today’s the day.”
Boyman’s proposal video has racked up 8.9 million views and the internet is obsessed with the pair.
“This is the cutest proposal I’ve ever seen,” one user wrote.
“Your dog in the middle of you two makes it even more special,” another added.
Many others praised Magnus for his smooth delivery. “The unwrapping, the box throw, the kneeling, the timing, damn Magnus got game,” a third commented.
The clip even caught the attention of big brands including Mastercard and Diet Coke. “So this is everything,” the Coca Cola franchise commented.
“He really pulled an uno reverse,” another wrote.
