Truce with Iran threatened, 182 dead in a single day in Lebanon in Israeli strikes
In force for two weeks, the ceasefire between Iran and the United States hangs by a thread. And this could be cut off by the situation in Lebanon. The international community is indeed worried that Israel’s deadly strikes and Hezbollah’s responses will halt the entire process. Israeli bombings on Lebanon on Wednesday, particularly residential areas of Beirut, left 182 dead and 890 injured, according to the Health Ministry. De-escalation is therefore still far from being completely achieved in the Middle East.

The driver involved in the fatal collision with a TGV indicted
The investigation is progressing into the fatal collision with a TGV that occurred on Tuesday in Bully-les-Mines. The Béthune prosecutor announced on Wednesday the indictment of the driver of the heavy goods vehicle involved in this tragedy in Pas-de-Calais. He is being prosecuted for “road homicide” and placed under judicial supervision, on the basis of “serious and consistent evidence”.
