Manchester City won 0-3 at Chelsea. Jérémy Doku scored his team’s last goal, taking advantage of the Blues’ defensive errors.
24 hours after Arsenal’s defeat against Bournemouth, Manchester City had the opportunity to put even more pressure on the Gunners by winning at Chelsea. For this, Pep Guardiola placed his trust in Jérémy Doku, holder on the left side.
The first half was engaged but fairly closed. Doku was not having a great day (one successful dribble out of five, 16 turnovers) and Manchester City as a whole waited to step on the accelerator.
The difference really made itself at the start of the second period, with three goals in just over a quarter of an hour for the Cityzens. Rayan Cherki showed the way forward with two assists for Marc Guéhi and Nico O’Reilly (57th, 0-2).
Doku invites himself to the party
Despite his difficulties today, it was Jérémy Doku who definitively lost the match. To the end after a strike in the gloves of Robert Sanchezthe Red Devil stole the ball from the Blues’ feet and then tore apart the defense (68th, 0-3) to score their second goal of the season in the Premier League.

Manchester City therefore won with an ultimately comfortable score to come back to within six points of Arsenal, who have one more game and must travel to the Emirates Stadium in a week. The end of the season promises to be hot.
