Doku wins his duel against Trossard
The Gunners could make the difference by winning in Manchester and move a little closer to the title. This victory for City puts everything back into perspective. We are in for a battle until the end.
Cherki opened the score 1-0 in the 15th minute, but two minutes later Havertz quickly equalized. By then, Arsenal were well on their way to maintaining their lead in the table.
A very tense title fight
Erling Haaland appeared on the hour mark to restore City’s lead to 2-1. Arsenal no longer had a choice and had to attack without stopping. The Gunners pushed, but City’s defense held firm.
Unfortunately for them, the score no longer changed. The duel between Jérémy Doku and Leandro Trossard ended 2-1. Manchester City returns to three points behind Arsenal in the standings. As the Citizens have a game in hand, they could virtually take the lead in the championship.
