Pep Guardiola’s men now have 67 points in 32 games and are putting pressure on the leader. Arsenal, still in the lead with 70 points after 33 games, however, saw their lead dwindle.
The Citizens hope to take advantage of their late match on Wednesday evening at Burnley to take control. At the same time, Arsenal, who are three points ahead but one game in hand, must find their rhythm and win at the Emirates Stadium against Newcastle United next Saturday to preserve their throne.
