For the 15th time in its history, OL Lyonnes is playing in a Champions League semi-final on Sunday. In a remake of last season against Arsenal, Ada Hegerberg wants to enjoy the present moment.

Wendie Renard or the coach want to leave the past in the past. But how can we support this disillusionment?

After last year’s semi-final, we started this season with new objectives, new staff, new players. We started the season strong and we know what we need to do to improve. We’re still in the semi-final of the Champions League, it’s huge. It’s the best time of the year. We worked hard all winter. You have to take advantage of it, take advantage of these moments. Last year remains last year. It is above all a match between two teams at the top European level.

After Wolfsburg, it will be a match of a completely different caliber with Arsenal…

This of course requires a lot of effort. It comes down to the new dynamic, the experience. We have to prove a lot to get to the semi-final. We saw against Wolfsburg that it was not easy. It’s a challenge that we take on with great desire and motivation. A semi-final remains a high level and therefore requires us to give the best of ourselves.

We have always been humble and we approach this match with a lot of humility, but also a lot of confidence. We know what we have to do, we know it’s difficult, but we must maintain this attitude to approach this match as best as possible. It’s a great opponent, two great teams at the top, a beautiful full stadium. I’m eager to.

With Wendie Renard, have you given any advice to younger people to better understand this meeting?

Experience is how you behave every day in training. With the ambitions we have, pressure is a privilege in a sense. Because it means that something is expected of you. The best way to show this to new players is the focus and joy of playing this sport, at this level. The important thing is to find a balance between the two, between joy and concentration. Because as soon as we enter the field, we are there to win.
