Beaten by Bayern Munich at the Bernabeu (1-2), in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League, Real Madrid will have to create the feat next week in Germany.
At the Bernabeu, Bayern Munich took a big step towards the last four by winning against Real Madrid (2-1) at the end of a high-flying game.
The Olise festival at the Bernabeu
Following a loss of the ball by Vinicius, Luis Diaz first came to beat Lunin with the flat of his foot (0-1, 41st). At the very start of the second half, Harry Kane (0-2, 46th) came to double the lead on a serve from that devil of Michael Olise, who made a festival on his left lane throughout the match. Groggy but still dangerous, Real Madrid created chances and were rightly rewarded.
Real Madrid can still believe it
Following a cross from Alexander-Arnold, Mbappé reduced the score at the far post (1-2, 73rd). The end of the match was lively but the Merengue were unable to get back on track. With the face shown, there is still hope for a return to Bavaria. In the other quarter-final of the evening, Kai Havertz (90th) allowed Arsenal to win against Sporting in Lisbon (0-1).
