A realistic Arsenal wins against Sporting

In Lisbon, Arsenal beat Sporting 1-0

In probably the least flamboyant quarter-final on the board, Arsenal suffered a lot on the Sporting Portugal field, before winning at the last second with a score of 1-0.

In the first half, each team had a golden opportunity to open the score, each time with the crossbar to repel Araujo’s attempts for the Portuguese (6th) and a dangerous corner from Arsenal on the other side (15th).

In the second half, the debates remained close and Arsenal thought they would open the score but Zubimendi’s goal was canceled for offside (63rd). The end of the match heated up a little more, and Raya allowed his team to maintain this 0-0 twice in the final minutes. And finally, in one last situation, Havertz, well served on Martinelli, was quick to score the winning goal in stoppage time (0-1, 91st).

This result still puts Arsenal in an even stronger position as favorites before the return match next week at the Emirates.
