The former coach of a local football club in Caen was taken into custody on Wednesday for rape and invasion of the privacy of several minor players, we learned Thursday from the Caen public prosecutor’s office. “The prosecution concerns three victims aged 13 to 17 at the time of the events,” Joël Garrigue, public prosecutor of Caen, explained to AFP, confirming information from West France.

The teenage girls were licensed to the Maladrerie Omni Sports club, located on the outskirts of Caen. AFP was not immediately able to contact the club. The coach, now 30 years old, was arrested and taken into custody on Wednesday, said Joël Garrigue.
