A former Spanish FC Barcelona defender could join the Premier League during the next summer transfer window.
Arsenal have positioned themselves on Oscar Mingueza, according to the Telegraph. The defender currently plays in the Spanish La Liga, at Celta Vigo.
Arsenal must first challenge a London rival for Mingueza
The Gunners will, however, face competition from two other Premier League clubs. Aston Villa and their London opponents Fulham have also expressed interest in the player.
Mingueza will be free from any contract at the end of the season. It is very likely that the former Barça defender will decide to take another step in his career at the age of 26.
Mingueza to rejoin Celta Vigo in Barcelona in 2022. The Spanish defender has so far played 140 games for the club.
Manchester City are also said to be interested in Mingueza’s services.
