It all started on the racetrack. Consultant for Sky Germany, Ralf Schumacher delivers his analyzes on Formula 1 races, drawing on his experience in single-seaters. “Over time, a relationship of trust has been established, which goes far beyond the scope of our collaboration in front of the camera,” says Kamila Schmid, director of original productions at Sky in a press release.
So much so that the former Williams driver, in a relationship with Frenchman Etienne Bousquet-Cassagne, will allow the German channel to broadcast the famous “best day of his life” in a documentary Ralf & Étienne: We say yes, which will be available at the end of May. “It is a special honor for us to be able to film this intimate chapter of his life,” adds Kamila Schmid.
Married to a former RN candidate
“Etienne and I share our life, and this series reflects precisely that: our daily life, our work, our differences and our common points, our projects,” explained, still in this press release, Ralf Schumacher, who came out in 2024 and revealed to the general public his relationship with Etienne Bousquet-Cassagne.
The latter had a small political career in France, being a municipal councilor in Villeneuve-sur-Lot (Lot-et-Garonne) and regional councilor of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. He was also a candidate, under the National Front label, for the 2013 and 2017 legislative elections and ended his political life in 2020, reports The Parisian.
