Maxi Araujo is Arsenal’s new target for next season. Under the colors of Sporting Portugal, the young left-back had a great Champions League campaign. He notably impressed Mikel Arteta during the double clash between Arsenal and the Lisbon club in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. During these two matches, the Uruguayan made 12 tackles, won 17 duels and managed to contain the attacks of Noni Madueke and Max Dowman.
Contacts established between Arsenal and the player, Manchester City also interested
According to Record, contacts have since been made with the player for a possible transfer next summer. But Arsenal will face significant competition in this matter because the player is highly coveted in Europe. In addition, his release clause set at around 70 million euros could scare away certain clubs.
