The ranking after the 31st day

The 31st day ended Sunday evening with further disillusionment for OM, held in check by Nice, on the pitch at the Stade Vélodrome (1-1). A penalty from Wahi allowed the Aiglons to take a precious point in the race to maintain. The Marseillais see the Champions League slip away. Olympique Lyonnais, winner of Auxerre (3-2), has a third consecutive success and continues its quest for a podium. Les Gones are tied for 4th after Lille, who have just beaten Paris FC (0-1).

PSG is getting closer to the title…

The victory of Luis Enrique’s men in Angers (0-3) combined with the Lensois draw in Brest gives the Parisians a 6-point lead at the top.

Lille and Rennes are 4th and 5th after their successes (0-1 at Paris FC and 2-1 against Nantes). Strasbourg won in Lorient (2-3) while Monaco was held back by Toulouse in the race for Europe.

…Nantes and Auxerre still can’t do it

Beaten respectively by Rennes (2-1) and Lyon (3-2), the Nantais and the Auxerrois remain 17th and 16th (play-off). By taking a point, Le Havre (6 points more than the Burgundians) and Nice (5) move away, a little, from the relegation places. With 10 points behind Nice, first non-relegation, the Canaries will at best be able to finish as roadblocks.
