Less than a year ago, Bayer paid just €5.25 million for Kofane – and could now achieve a colossal deal. Indeed, according to this article, the Bundesliga club would ask between 60 and 70 million euros from its English competitors, renowned for their financial power, for the attacker – thus multiplying the sum invested by more than ten.
Only the transfers of Kai Havertz (100 million euros to FC Chelsea in 2020) and Florian Wirtz (125 million euros to Liverpool in 2025) brought in more money for Bayer than would now be possible with Kofane.
