Arsenal’s surprise approach to FC Barcelona player Dani Olmo revealed as midfielder clarifies transfer stance

Despite the lure of the Premier League and Arsenal’s ambitious plan, Olmo has made it clear he has no intention of ending his Barcelona dream prematurely. The midfielder is fully determined to succeed at the club where he spent his formative years at the La Masia academy, closing the door on a move to the Emirates Stadium in the near future. This unwavering loyalty was also tested by tempting offers from elsewhere. According to SportSaudi Pro League club Al-Qadsia have reportedly presented a tempting offer, including a four-year contract worth €9.5 million net per season. Manchester City and Pep Guardiola are also long-term admirers, with Olmo’s agent Andy Bara briefly fueling speculation last summer when he said: “you never know what the future holds.”

However, just as he did with Arsenal, Olmo rejected the riches of the Middle East and the lure of Manchester to continue his journey under Flick in La Liga. Ultimately, this unwavering commitment makes a transfer virtually impossible in the short term. With a contract running until 2030 and an estimated market value of around €60 million, any suitor would realistically need the Catalan club to actively push the player towards the exit before a transfer could go through.
