After Gavi, Arsenal tackle Dani Olmo

Mikel Arteta will take a trip to Catalonia this summer for his transfer window.

FC Barcelona repelled a first offensive from Arsenal for Dani Olmo (27). According to daily information Sportthe Gunners tried to secure the services of the attacking midfielder, without success, the Catalan club having clearly displayed its desire to keep its player. Under contract until 2030 and estimated at around 60 million euros, the Spanish international remains a central element of the sporting project, and his departure is not envisaged at this stage. Note that Saudi Arabia also has an eye on the former Leipzig man, with potentially an XXL contract at stake.

Despite this refusal, Arsenal does not intend to abandon the case. Mikel Arteta has reportedly made Dani Olmo his priority for the next summer transfer window, convinced that his profile perfectly matches the needs of his team. The Gunners could return to the charge in the coming months, even if Barça’s firm position and the importance of the player in the squad seriously complicate the operation.
