Arsenal suffered an unexpected defeat against Bournemouth (1-2) on Sunday evening at the Emirates Stadium, during the 32nd day of the Premier League.
The Cherries opened the scoring in the 17th minute through their star Eli Junior Croby, well served at ground level from the left. The ball bounced off William Saliba’s foot before landing on the six-yard boundary, giving Croby an easy strike to beat David Raya.
Arsenal, however, reacted in the 35th minute: after a penalty whistled in their favor, Victor Giokiris struck hard to the right of the goalkeeper to equalize.

In the 74th minute, Alex Scott delivered the final blow with a powerful right-footed strike from inside the box, beating David Raya on his right and giving Bournemouth a precious victory.
In the standings, Arsenal retains 70 points after 32 days and remains at the top of the Premier League. Bournemouth, for its part, now has 45 units and climbs to 9th place.
Thanks to this success, the Cherries offer a precious gift to Manchester City, second with 61 points from 30 matches, thus relaunching the title race and offering the Citizens a golden opportunity to reduce the gap at the top of the table.
