A year after letting Rayan Cherki slip to the Premier League, PSG could once again miss out on a Ligue 1 crack in the person of Maghnes Akliouche (AS Monaco).
Luis Campos has a short list of exciting players that he dreams of signing and making available to Luis Enrique at PSG. Rayan Cherki was one of them… For two years, the Portuguese sports director did everything to ensure that Cherki became a Parisian. But the matter collapsed at the last minute and Manchester City was quick to sign the new Premier League crack.
After Cherki, Akliouche?
A year later, PSG may have some regrets as Rayan Cherki has taken on an extraordinary dimension in England. To console itself, Paris has another rather similar file in store: Maghnes Akliouche. But here again, PSG could be overtaken. Luis Campos, who refuses to overpay for a transfer (Monaco is demanding €70 million), sees English clubs rushing into the Frenchman’s file…
Arsenal in good place
Among the clubs interested in Maghnes Akliouche, Foot Parisien can cite Liverpool, Tottenham but especially Arsenal. The probable departure of Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri could make room for a new profile. Mikel Arteta would be seduced by Akliouche’s versatility and magic.
