Stade Toulousain will have to do without Dorian Aldegheri at least until April 27. The disciplinary committee of the EPCR, which organizes the Champions Cup, decided to suspend the pillar for three weeks for his dangerous tackle on Damian Penaud during the quarter-final against UBB last weekend. A gesture for which he was expelled.
“The Commission confirmed the red card because it determined that Aldegheri had tackled Penaud in a dangerous manner,” wrote the body in a press release this Wednesday, specifying that the pillar “admitted to having committed an act of unfair play which deserved a red card”.
The disciplinary committee found a medium degree of dangerousness regarding the gesture of Aldegheri, sanctioned for having, in the 37th minute of play, hit his Blues teammate in the face while trying to delay a kicking game. The Toulouse player left his teammates at 14 for 20 minutes before being replaced by Spanish international Joel Merkler, during this quarter-final won by UBB (30-15).

“Aldegheri will be able to play again from Monday May 11. However, if he participates in the World Rugby tackling training program, then he will be able to play again from Monday April 27,” underlines the EPCR, which would allow the Rouge et Noir forward to return to the field during the trip to Toulon in the Top 14, the weekend of May 9.
