After the break due to the War in Iran, MotoGP resumes its rights in the south of Spain, in Andalusia, with the GP of Jerez de la Frontera. On the championship program since 1987, it is the second busiest track in MotoGP behind Assen.
It was here that Marc Márquez had fallen during the Covid period, before months of convalescence, and that Fabio Quartararo had won his first two victories. It is also on this circuit that Valentino Rossi scored his last podium. With 3 victories in 3 Grands Prix, Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) is the best at the start of the season. He is ahead of the Spaniards Jorge Martin (Aprilia) and Pedro Acosta (KTM). Respectively 15th and 17th, Johann Zarco (Honda) and Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) will want to take points to move up the rankings. They have 13 and 6 at the moment.
