Scenes of chaos and match interrupted during the Paraguayan clasico between Olimpia and Cerro Porteño

An unconscious police officer lying in the middle of the stands, a shirtless supporter riddled with rubber bullet holes, others caught trying to climb barriers to fight with the supporters of the rival club… We cannot count the number of incredible scenes which took place in the stands of the Defensores del Chaco stadium, in Asuncion, where the Paraguayan superclasico between Olimpia and Cerro Porteño took place this Sunday. The match had to be interrupted in the 29th minute when the first altercations broke out, which ultimately spread to give rise to absolute chaos.
