This Monday morning, the French Football Federation unveiled the new jerseys of the French team for the 2026 World Cup (in the United States, Mexico and Canada). The home kit changes color since it will now be midnight blue. The exterior turns green and will be a real nod to the Statue of Liberty. These jerseys will be used by the Blues during friendly matches against Brazil (Thursday, 9 p.m.) and Colombia (Sunday, 9 p.m.).
New World Cup, new jerseys
These unique tunics were created by Nike with the objective of “keeping the DNA of France. Elegance is the key word.” The midnight blue home kit features a classic white polo collar, red buttonhole and a Nike crest and swoosh with a metallic copper effect (“the original color of the Statue of Liberty before its oxidation”, according to Nike).
The lightning patterns on the jersey “illustrate speed. The ensemble is inspired by classic French elegance,” according to Nike. The shorts remain white and red socks. This outfit will be debuted against Colombia on March 29.

The away jersey will be green
The 2nd Norway jersey, called “Liberty”, is a tribute to the statue offered by France to the United States 140 years ago. The color is reminiscent of the famous New York monument. The Blues will play with this outfit against Norway in particular, as they play in blue and red at home and black away.
As on the first jersey, the swoosh and the crest have a metallic copper effect. We find the French flag on the sleeves and the shorts. The shorts and socks come in green. The flocking will also be copper colored. We can start getting used to this new jersey on Thursday against Brazil.
