PSG: Arsenal towards a record offer for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia?

Arriving at Paris Saint-Germain from SSC Napoli in January 2025 for an amount estimated at around 70 million euros, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia quickly established himself as a centerpiece of the Parisian project. If his performances are less brilliant in Ligue 1 this season, the Georgian international remains an essential player in Luis Enrique’s system, thanks to his impact in major events, particularly in the Champions League. Now established among the squad’s executives, he logically arouses the interest of several European clubs and could well become one of the key issues of the next summer transfer window.

According to information from The Independent, Arsenal are seriously studying the possibility of recruiting the 25-year-old winger this summer, as part of a major offensive reshuffle. The London club will, however, have to readjust its workforce to respect the constraints of the Squad Cost Ratio, most likely involving the sale of an executive in order to create sufficient financial room for maneuver.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is seen in London as a profile capable of bringing more individual creativity and raising the overall level of the group led by Mikel Arteta. The British media also specifies that the player’s entourage would be open to possible opportunities, despite the recent declarations of the main interested party affirming his happiness to play in Paris.

The file nevertheless promises to be particularly complex. Under contract until 2029, he is considered almost untransferable by Parisian management. A possible departure would require an offer well in excess of 100 million euros, while his market value is estimated at around 90 million euros.

Faced with the complexity of this operation, Arsenal is simultaneously exploring other offensive avenues. Julián Álvarez, currently at Atlético de Madrid, is among the profiles highly appreciated by Mikel Arteta. However, the high financial demands of the Madrid club, also beyond the symbolic bar of 100 million euros, make this alternative just as difficult to access at this stage.
