Mercato: The Kvara camp listening to the English market?

Brilliant against Chelsea in the round of 16 of the Champions League, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been panicking the English press since the start of the week with several rumors sending him to Liverpool or Arsenal. His camp is even presented as listening to the market, which has just been denied by another English source.

In an article dedicated to the 11 potential replacements for Mohamed Salah at Liverpool, the Liverpool Echo cited three PSG wingers this Thursday morning, including Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was even chosen to illustrate the article. The Georgian was already targeted by the Reds when he played in Naples and it would not be illogical that he still interests the Mersey club, especially given his performances against English clubs since his arrival at PSG.

On Wednesday evening, The Independent also reported that Arsenal have their sights set on Kvara. The English media added that the player’s entourage was open to the idea of joining the Gunners or at least listening to their offer. The article however specified that PSG considered Kvara as “a gem of his current project” and one “virtually unsaleable star”.

Author of three goals and an assist against Chelsea in the Champions League round of 16 recently, as well as a gem against Aston Villa last season (plus assists against Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a player respected in England, both by local supporters and the media, who regularly compare him to George Best.

Arsenal are interested in Kvara, but it is not reciprocated

Seeing him involved in transfer rumors to England is therefore not very surprising in itself, but Sky Sports has just partly denied the information from The Independent. If Sky Sports confirms that PSG’s number 7 really appeals to Arsenal, the English media however specifies that neither Kvara nor PSG are considering a departure this summer for the moment.

Under contract at PSG until 2029, the Gérogien is clearly not about to leave and told the Parisian on March 10 that he felt very good at the club, but also in the city of love: “I love Paris, I love everything about Paris. The more I think about it, the more I like the fact that people are very respectful. When you go out, they don’t bother you much. At a restaurant for example, they ask before coming to take a photo. I like it a lot. It’s the best city to wander around with your wife. »

Kvara also confirmed during this interview that he had had other offers than that of PSG, but that he had been convinced by the sporting project presented by Luis Enrique and Luis Campos: “I had other options, other offers, but the way the coach and the sports director presented the project to me impressed me. I didn’t think about it, I just told my agent that I wanted to go to PSG. »
