Arsenal will not keep him, Ødegaard interests Bayern

Far from his best level this season, the former Real Madrid prodigy will perhaps liven up the Gunners transfer window.

The atmosphere is starting to get seriously tense in the Arsenal locker room. According to information relayed by Topskills Sports UKrelations between Martin Ødegaard (27) and his coach Mikel Arteta have reportedly reached a breaking point in recent weeks. The Gunners captain would feel “deeply underestimated” by management and staff, several promises made to him having not been kept. Internally, the frustration would have grown over the months, to the point that the attacking midfielder would now be determined to leave London this summer.

Sportingly, the Norwegian’s situation has become fragile. Long the centerpiece of Arteta’s project, Ødegaard has seen his influence diminish this season, between injuries, increased competition and more marked rotation. Starting only 13 times in the Premier League, scoring just one goal in the league, he is far from his past standards, when he led Arsenal in the title race. The emergence of new offensive profiles and the rise in power of other executives would have modified the balance of the locker room and its status.

Already exit doors?

Still under contract until 2028 and estimated at around 75 million euros, Ødegaard would however no longer be willing to wait. According to these same sources, he even identified Manchester United as his priority destination, despite interest from Bayern Munich. No official contact has been confirmed at this stage, but the matter could quickly ignite if the rift with Arteta were to be confirmed in the coming weeks. To be continued…
