Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s concerns regarding his squad are becoming increasingly worrying.
Shortly after Piero Hincapié (Ecuador), Martin Zubimendi (Spain) was also injured during this international break. As a result, the Arsenal infirmary is starting to be seriously overloaded.
Arsenal have 11 injured players
Several Arsenal internationals will not be able to feature during this international break due to various injuries. Eberechi Eze (England), Bukayo Saka (England), Noni Madueke (England) and Declan Rice (England) are injured.
Jurriën Timber (Netherlands), Martin Ødegaard (Norway), Gabriel (Brazil), William Saliba (France) and Leandro Trossard (Belgium) all had to withdraw as well.
Sunday afternoon, Hincapié joined the list of packages. The defender and star player of Ecuador will be absent on Tuesday evening in Eindhoven against the Netherlands.
Zubimendi is now also out. The Spanish midfielder, who was included in Luis de la Fuente’s list, is suffering from a knee injury.
The Gunners aim for their first league title since the 2003/04 season. The Londoners occupy a comfortable first place, with 9 points ahead of their pursuer, Manchester City.
