Didier Deschamps’ list to face Brazil and Colombia


In front of an audience of journalists who came in large numbers for the event, Didier Deschamps gave the names of the players called up for the friendly matches, against Brazil in Boston and Colombia in Washington, on March 26 and 29.

Moved, on the occasion of his last press conference at the Headquarters of the French Football Federation (the next one will be held on the TF1 set), the coach of the Blues wanted to send a message:

“I am aware that this is the last time that I will speak here, in this FFF amphitheater. This is a special moment, I would like to thank all the employees of the federation, they have supported me for 14 years (laughs), thank them for their kindness, their attention. And above all for having ensured, each and every one, to put the French team in the best conditions.”

Concerning his list, DD decided to opt for continuity (Lucas Chevalier, Marcus Thuram, Kolo Muani and Kanté are there), with no real surprises in his summoned group. If he considers that these friendly matches serve as a dress rehearsal, he does not close the door to possible arrivals (Corentin Tolisso, Guendouzi, K. Thuram, Fofana, Mateta, Udol, Truffert, etc.), depending in particular on injuries and current form. Without forgetting that Bradley Barcola and Jules Kounde are currently injured…
