Buts: Blackstenius (23e), Kelly (32e) and Russo (76e) for the Gunners // James (66e) for the Blues
Arsenal in show of force. This Tuesday, the Gunners, title holders in C1, have taken a serious option in the Champions League semi-finalsbeating Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium (3-1). Stina Blackstenius, Chloe Kelly then Alessia Russo put on the show with two final long-range goals, which are a reminder of how much this team has gained in recent years.
Two goals refused and Bompastor beside herself
Side Bluesthe meeting was marked by two disallowed goals (in addition to Lauren James’ superb score reduction), the first of which just before the break appears to be the most contentious. Indeed, Veerle Buurman does not seem to make a mistake when pushing the ball into the back of the net (to allow Chelsea to return to equality at that moment). A fault however confirmed by the VAR, which puts the French coach of Chelsea Sonia Bompastor in a rage.
“You bastards. Little whore of your mother p***”Bompastor declared to the refereeing body, listening to the evening television broadcast. Not sure that this would consolidate his place at the head of Blues, only third in the championship and on the verge of exiting the Champions League.
