Everything had ideally started with the early opening score of young Lily Yohannes (16th), putting the two teams back on level terms throughout the two confrontations. But despite constant domination, Jonatan Giraldez’s players did not manage to make the break before the end of regulation time, forcing the two teams to decide between themselves during an extension which would prove decisive.
