The regional of the stage, or rather of the Grand Prix, achieved a historic hat-trick on Saturday. At the age of 37, Ion Izagirre scored his third victory during the GP Miguel Indurain, after his successes in 2016 and 2023. Izagirre, in history after a nice move
The Basque was already in the lead 3 kilometers from the finish, accompanied by Quinn Simmons and Markel Beloki. The trio had almost 30 seconds ahead of the peloton. Izagirre showed himself to be the strongest at the finish, after 206 kilometers of effort, including the ascent of the Alto de Ibarra, which served as a justice of the peace on this Saturday.
